Chaddie Kruger has taught at TMI since 2003, having taught for 12 years at the University of Texas at San Antonio for 12 years and previously at Trinity University, and Texas State University.

She earned her bachelor’s degree cum laude with special honors in Latin from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a master’s degree in Latin from UT-Austin.

At TMI, Mrs. Kruger has taught various levels of Upper School Latin, from Latin II through Latin VI, including honors and AP. She also served as chair of the Foreign Languages Department from 2004 to 2009. She currently teaches Classical Mythology and Great Books in addition to Latin and is co-sponsor of TMI’s Latin Club and sponsor of the Japanese Club.

Mrs. Kruger also has published articles in Calliope, a history magazine for students, and Dig, an archaeology magazine for students. A member of the Dramatists Guild, she won first place for a full-length drama in DramaFest 1994, a national playwriting competition.

Mrs. Kruger has been listed in several editions of Who’s Who in America’s Teachers. She is also a member of the American Classical League, the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) for which she is a continuing board member of the San Antonio (AIA) chapter, and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Society.
